Patch a release into the output stage

Six releases, one signal path. Choosing a module draws a cable to the output stage at the bottom of the rack, and the output stage is the only player on this site. Nothing is requested from a streaming platform until you press the play control, and the control tells you what pressing it will do first.

Every release, straight to its platform

The rack needs JavaScript to route a cable, so here is the same discography as plain links. Each release also has its own page.

No track URL is connected on this demonstration, so the play control says so and loads nothing. One href per player connects it, a SoundCloud or Spotify address; the stage reads the URL and loads that platform's player. The procedure is on the styleguide.

02 / Releases

The catalog, with every platform on one line

One row per release, every platform printed next to it, no redirect service in the middle. The sleeve marks are generated from the tokens rather than shipped as artwork, so this page carries no release photography weight at all.

03 / Bookings

The advance

Everything a promoter and this side of the booking need to agree on, asked once. Answers go straight to bookings@azurevoid.example. Replies take about [set your reply time].

Scripts are off in this browser, so this form hands your answers to your mail app instead of writing them out here. If no mail window opens, write to bookings@azurevoid.example or call [set your number]. With scripts off, nothing you type is kept by this page.

While you type, this page keeps a copy of these answers in your own browser so a closed tab does not cost you the form. Sending deletes that copy, and clearing this site's data deletes it too.

04 / Dates

Confirmed slots

Every row below is sample data with a bracket where a real detail goes. Rows carry the date they were written with, so anything now in the past restamps itself as played rather than advertising a night that has happened.

Nothing near you

Leave a city and it goes on the routing list that gets read before a run is booked. One line, no follow up.

Scripts are off, so this hands the city to your mail app. Or write to bookings@azurevoid.example with the city in the subject line.

These two answers are kept in your own browser while you type and deleted when you send.

05 / Studio notes

The rooms and what is in them

The first four years happened in a room with one window, on a desk built from a door and two filing cabinets. The monitors were near field and the room was smaller than the near field, so every mix went out to a car and a phone before it went anywhere else. Null Tape sounds like that room because it is that room: slightly fast tape, a low end guessed at rather than heard, and a top end pushed to survive the guess.

The current room is treated, which changed the writing more than the mixing. Reverb stopped being a decision made at the end and became something printed on the way in, so Dry Signal has almost no plugin ambience on it at all. The chain is short on purpose: a modular case, two mono channels of preamp, converters, and a tape machine that gets used as a filter rather than as nostalgia. Everything else is in the box.

07 / Mailing list

The aux send

Scripts are off in this browser, so this form hands your answers to your mail app. Or write to list@azurevoid.example with the word send in it, which does the same job.

These three answers are kept in your own browser while you type so a closed tab does not lose them, and deleted when you send.
